Been trying out my new @janomeamerica TM200 sewing machine on this small thread painting, before traveling to a workshop with the amazing @sophiestandingart later this year. I'm so excited to have the opportunity to learn from her in person! So far, this little machine is working great! I got a sturdy carry-on sized case for it that should also protect it if it has to be checked.

Finally getting around to using a fabric remnant I purchased in Valencia Spain a couple of years ago, to dress up this jacket. I'll be heading back soon and hope to score some more fabric.

I am excited to have my thread painting, Great Horned Owl, included in the upcoming Birds 2 exhibit at @manormillgallery , along with works from many talented artists. The opening reception is this coming Saturday, May 16th from 2-5 pm. The exhibit runs through June 28.
